Tallest Mountains in Uganda
Uganda’s highest peaks are located in the Rwenzori Mountains, famously known as the “Mountains of the Moon.” This range sits on the border with the Democratic Republic of the Congo and is one of only three places in Africa (alongside Mount Kilimanjaro and Mount Kenya) that host permanent glaciers. Because the Rwenzori is a massif with many distinct peaks sitting on various “mounts,” the rankings often focus on the highest points of these specific massifs. The following table lists the 10 tallest peaks in Uganda.
