Highest Point in Delaware – Ebright Azimuth
Standing at just 448 feet, Ebright Azimuth is the highest point in Delaware and the second-lowest state high point in the country, surpassing only Florida. Unlike traditional summits, this point is located on a sidewalk along Ebright Road in a suburban neighborhood of Wilmington, very close to the Pennsylvania border. It is named after James and Genevieve Ebright, who owned the land when the elevation was first surveyed. A colorful sign and a benchmark plaque in the ground mark the spot, which is part of the Piedmont plateau that transitions into the flatter Atlantic Coastal Plain to the south.
