Tallest Mountains in Brazil
Unlike many of its South American neighbors, Brazil does not sit on the tectonic edge of the continent, so it lacks the soaring, snow-capped peaks of the Andes. Instead, its mountains are ancient, weathered formations located primarily along the borders with Venezuela and Guyana or within the coastal ranges of the Southeast.
The following table lists the 10 tallest peaks in Brazil based on the most recent data from the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE).
