Tallest Mountains in New Jersey
New Jersey’s highest elevations are located in the northwestern corner of the state, primarily within the Kittatinny Mountains. This range is a part of the ridge-and-valley province of the Appalachian Mountains and provides a stark contrast to the famous coastal “Jersey Shore” and the flat Pine Barrens of the south. While the peaks are modest compared to those in the West, they offer rugged terrain, sections of the Appalachian Trail, and expansive views across the Delaware Water Gap into Pennsylvania and New York.
The following table lists the top 20 highest mountain peaks in New Jersey, measured in feet.
